Join Timaru-based country, rock ‘n’ rollers Sha-Low fronted by Sarah Conlan for their live studio recording this February. This energetic band has a passion for preserving the genre they love which can be heard through distinctive three part harmony vocal sound and the driving shuffles of the rhythm section. Audiences always enjoy the energy and cheeky stage presence of this playful group, so prepare for a foot-tappin’, thigh-slappin’ good time!
The band will play a set of Sarah’s originals, which have been growing steady acclaim in recent years, followed up by some country classics for which Sha-Low is so known for.
Band Line Up:
Shane Clarke (Singer and Bassist) This long time musician and ShaLow band manager Shane Clarke is a well-respected figure within New Zealand music scene. He is the Compere at the Caroline Bay Carnival, Manager of lead-singer Sarah Conlans, has played with some top NZ Musicians and is a respected Judge at Country Music Awards. Shane has taught musicianship and drums within schools and privately and was a member of the 2011 Gold Guitar Award Winners of Best Vocal Group.
Mitchl Low (Singer and Lead Guitarist) Lead guitarist and Singer of The Sha-Low Band, Mitchell has picked up numerous titles around New Zealand. Just to name a few – 2011 Gold Guitar Award for Vocal Group, 2013 Gold Guitar Award Winner: Male Vocal, 2013 Overall Runner up of the Southern Alps Awards, and the 2014 Overall Winner of the Southern Alps Awards. Mitchell is a Multi-instrumentalist and names the Eagles, Brad Paisley and Vince Gill as some of his favourite artists.

Sarah Conlan (Singer and Guitarist) Multi Award Winning Vocalist has been a regular Finalist at the New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards, MLT Song writing Finalist the Overall Winner of the South Island Music Awards and a 2014 nominee at the prestigious National Country Music Awards for the Horizon Award. Sarah also won the 2014/2015 DAG/APRA Song writing Scholarship to attend Australia’s DAG Songwriters retreat in 2015. She has completed two New Zealand Tours in 2014 – the first with Tui Nominated and New Zealand Country Music Award Winners of Best Duo – Into the East. The second tour was Sarah’s own EP release tour of the South Island backed by Mitchell, Shane and Josh of the ShaLow Band. Sarah also released her debut EP in 2014 which reached the NZ Top 10 Album on the NZ top 40 Charts.
